The Chimneys at Big Canoe Wedding

Chimneys at Big Canoe

Townsend & Roger’s Wedding at The Chimneys at Big Canoe was absolutely stunning. There were many beautiful and intimate moments that unfolded in front of us as their wedding day progressed, allowing us to document a complete story for their wedding album. We look forward to creating the initial album design in the upcoming weeks and are excited to create Townsend & Roger’s first family heirloom.

The historic venue itself is located in the gorgeous mountains of Northern Georgia overlooking Lake Sconti, which is just below the ceremony site. The reception location features elegant woodwork with a rustic feel and can seat up to 260 guests at any one time. Heading out of the reception, you can enjoy beautiful stone patio that is lined with Chinese cherry trees that make the perfect backdrop for a bride and groom. When the wedding guests are hungry, Georgias Premiere catering company, Talk of the Town, provides a fine ding experience sure to fulfill all of your guests.

Photography & Cinema

Townsend & Roger’s wedding was our first premiere for Roxy & Jon Cinema. We have been looking to introduce cinema for a while, and coincidentally we had brought along a videographer who was looking to learn photography that very day. The opportunity presented itself, and even with minimal gear the Highlight Reel below was created. As for the wedding photography itself, you couldn’t go wrong in this gorgeous location. We documented the wedding day from multiple angles and since we ran ahead of schedule, it provided plenty of time for bride and groom creatives with off-camera flash.

Cherokee Country Club Wedding

Cherokee Country Club Wedding

Brianna & Luke’s celebrated their wedding at Cherokee Country Club, but, their story did not begin there.

Luke and Brianna’s Story

Luke and Brianna met on their very first day attending Virginia Tech. By being enrolled in the same computer engineering class, the time they spent together began to grow so much. By the time freshman year finished, they had become best friends. That summer at a local event called “Hillbilly Holiday”, Luke began to think of Brianna as more than just friends. Two months later, and after plenty of rejections, they went on their first date, fishing. Little did Luke know that he was about to reel in the biggest catch of his life.

Then, if we fast-forward ahead 2 years to January 2016. Luke and Brianna began to look for apartments in Raleigh. Luke made plans to go to the beach in South Carolina with Brianna. He knew it was her favorite place in the world and wanted it to be where he proposes, so he booked a hotel overlooking the beach. While in Raleigh, Luke rehearsed what his proposal would be on the beach, however, after the second day of reviewing apartments, he was so excited that he couldn’t wait any longer.

After a romantic dinner date in downtown Raleigh, Luke knew it was a perfect time. He and Brianna went for a walk. They came to a beautiful park. Luke got down on one knee. Brianna’s eyes erupted with tears, as she said “YES!”

We had an absolute blast with Brianna and Luke at their wedding. Their family was super welcoming and accommodating. This allowed us to create some stunning images and memories for their special day. The venue was gorgeous and provided us with plenty of photographic opportunities!
